Pilgrims' Daughter

For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty... that no flesh should glory in His presence.... —that, as it is written, “He who glories, let him glory in the LORD.” 1 Corinthians 1:26-31

“Whatever I tell you in the dark, speak in the light; and what you hear in the ear, preach on the housetops. And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows." Matthew 10:27-31

The Lost Sheep, by Alfred Soord

About Me

Jennie
Georgia, United States
I'm a Christian mom of five girls age 16 to 29. I've been through the fire these last seven years and haven't posted much.Through it all, Jesus is my Savior, my Hero, my Friend, my Maker, my Shepherd, my Helper, my King. On my Dad's side I am descended from the Mayflower Pilgrim Mary Allerton; on my Mom's side I come from Italian-American Roman Catholics. The Pilgrim side won out spiritually, but I love my Italian heritage too. I've been undergoing a change in perspective over the last few years. I spent some time arguing with Catholics here. Now, I hope and pray for unity between protestants and Catholics and all believers.
